AFWERX seeks to hire a senior-level, DR-1515-04/DO-1101-04. The incumbent will serve as the Deputy Integration (AFRL/RGI) Deputy Division Chief as wells as the Deputy Chief Risk Officer for AFWERX.
Position duties include, but not limited to:
- Utilizes expert level mathematical and statistical techniques, elements of operations research theory, and innovative efforts to assist in the management &direction of all aspects of Division, mission, and staff, to include the oversight, management, and responsibility for all AFWERX Due Diligence, Government and Commercial Engagements, Marketing and Communication, Data Analytics and Market Research Programs.
- Demonstrates a mastery of skill in applying operational research practices, techniques, and methodology for planning & programming reliable, predictable, and manageable schedules, obligations, and solicitations for the Division.
- Assists in formulates & instituting policies, programs, and objectives impacting the mission of the Division.
- Cooperatively plans, projects costs, develops schedules, prioritizes, organizes and executes activities entailed in fulfilling major duties & responsibilities including initiatives to increase effectiveness of working relationships and efficiencies within the Division.
- Responsible for assisting with all Congressional inquiries, and audits related to the performance of the AFWERX mission.
- Oversees the Due Diligence program for AFWERX by utilizing organic capabilities and interagency partnerships to identify investment risks (Foreign Influence, Cyber Security, Information Protection) being considered by AFWERX.
- Assists in the management of a diverse team of contractor support personnel, government civilians, and military members. -Represents AFWERX with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- Increase enterprise collaboration across AFWERX Divisions and refine organizational processes by leveraging data analysis, lessons learned and AFWERX expertise, and by defining opportunities to develop cross-AFWERX collaboration in engaging with external audiences.
(Pay Range: $123,545-$152,771 base salary without locality. The locality will be determined based on the selected candidate's location.)

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Work may require travel away from the normal duty station.
- Individuals must meet all licensure, acquisition certifications, security, etc., requirements at the time of appointment or be on an approved waiver prior to being placed on the position.
- Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the DR/DO-03 or equivalent grade
- Must be able to meet Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) requirements
- Must be able to obtain or maintain a Special Sensitive clearance.
- Demonstrable experience in the applicable career field
Desired Qualifications
- An advanced degree in Engineering and/or Business
- Demonstrable experience working in agile cross-organizational and cross-functional programs
- Supervisory experience with functionally-diverse and geographically-dispersed team#AFWERX
