Job Overview

This job announcement will be accepting candidate submissions until 16 APR 26.

The selectee will be responsible for Special Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) security and all associated responsibilities therein. Additionally, the selectee will be an alternate Government Special Access Program Security Officer (GSSO).

Position duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensures Special Compartmented Information (SCI) is properly handled, stored, accounted for, marked and transmitted. Performs duties as a Government Special Security Officer for 711th Human Performance Wing Special Access Programs (SAP), ensuring all SAP information is properly handled, stored, accounted for, marked and transmitted.
• Performs Information, Personnel, Industrial and Physical Security duties in support of SCI and SAP missions.
• Implements Director of National Intelligence, Joint, Department of Defense, Air Force, MAJCOM and local policies and develops internal Wing procedures for the protection of SCI and SAP material.
• Provides input on SCI and SAP facility construction and required security systems and submits and maintains accreditation documents/fixed facility checklists for new facilities.
• Submits and tracks SCI and SAP access billets and indoctrination requests.
• Operates electronic security systems such as electronic access control and intrusion detection systems for SCI and SAP facilities.
• Supports collateral security managers on missions requiring both SCI/SAP and collateral security support.

Required Qualifications

• United States Citizenship
• Males must be registered for Selective Service. See www.sss.gov
• Must obtain and maintain the selected security clearance for this position
• At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level or equivalent in other pay systems.
• This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent will be subject to random testing
• This position requires the following certifications; IAW with AFI 36-2645: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC). Selectees will have 2 years to obtain the required certifications.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience with ICD-705 highly desired
• Physical Security Certification (PSC) desired
