Position duties include, but are not limited to:

Assists in the integration and application of biological and electromagnetic models and deterministic/non-deterministic algorithm development in concert with high fidelity representations of directed energy devices for verification of personnel safety for individual systems. Helps to inform and recommend decisions which impact science and technology investment in this area.
Arranges and manages laboratory instrumentation; performs data collection; transitions analysis processes; conducts modeling and simulation, threat characterization and methodologies. Coordinates with multiple technology areas and organizations within AFRL.
Assists in planning, coordinating, executing, and reporting on program efforts to develop and utilize modeling and simulation tools and analysis and assessment tools.
Assists in understanding the potential system and mission level safety impacts of high power electromagnetic technologies
Performs simulation and mathematical-based assessments and how these contribute to military utility and technology effectiveness and plans.
Works with program manager, leaders, and other scientists and engineers to document and archive results in high quality reports.
Communicates technical, programmatic, and management information to leaders within AFRL.
Performs other duties as assigned.
