The Space Vehicles Directorate, Corporate Information Division, Operations Branch seeks to hire a mid-level DO-2210- Information Technology (IT) Specialist (Policy Planning/Enterprise Architecture) at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The incumbent will be responsible for the success of day-to-day IT enterprise operations.
Position duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintains, develops, reviews, and modifies changes to the schedule for successful day-to-day IT enterprise operations.
- Optimizes the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems and ensures availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of IT. Involved in all aspects of the organization's IT life cycle management from inception to delivery and through sustainment and finally decommission.
- Stays up to date with the rapidly changing technology and ensures IT portfolios and future budget planning align organizational goals.
- Collaborates with leadership, project managers and customers to help precisely define project scope, system requirements, and deliverables.
- Identifies customer information systems requirements, analyzes system environments, and designs studies and cost-benefit analyzes.
- Balances technical knowledge with managerial skills to lead IT enterprise operations to not only meet technical specifications, but also deliver value to the PRS and government.
- Works with management and contractors to isolate and correct complex problems which hinder the capability of the organization to fully utilize information management technology. Assess Change, Configuration, and Release Management as it applies to PRS IT capabilities while supporting the draft and finalization of the PRS Enterprise Plan, Processes and Procedures for system component upgrades and other change management functions.
- As senior advisor, coordinate with the Program Officers and Contracting Office to ensure technical accuracy of solicitation packages and IT contracts. Consults with base officials and working groups, customers, and other organization personnel on IT concerns.
- Prepares reports encompassing long and short-range planning strategy recommendations and presents briefings covering recommendations for the organization.

Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- This position includes information assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of the position must achieve and maintain IAT Level II certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six-month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.

Candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience at the DO-01/GS-11 or equivalent grade level. Specialized experience is experience providing the capacity and skills for working independently, leading collaborative events, working in teams and using these approaches to find and solve complex problems. Such experience may also include training, collaborative process facilitation, innovation design practice, writing background, editing job roles, continuous process improvement credentials, multi-agency liaison work, published work in refereed technical journals, and/or briefings to large groups.
