The 711 Human Performance Wing (HPW) advances human performance in air, space, and cyberspace through research, education, and consultation. The Wing supports the most critical Air Force resource - the operational military forces. The Bioanalytics Section needs to fill the DR-1501,1515,1520, 1529, 1530, 0854, 0858-02, Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Engineer
Duties include; but are not limited to:
- Construct aerospace medical models and entities of varying complexity in simulation environments currently being utilized by end users and the medical standards community within the USAF.
- Provide government oversight and direction to contractor modeling and simulation efforts within the organization.
- Provide dynamic scripting techniques to produce modeled entity behaviors.
- Collaborate with research leads and customer stakeholders to identify research and development requirements, develop relevant technical approaches, and identify execution strategies.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts such as medical providers, researchers, engineers, and program managers to identify requirements for system implementation in models and simulations.
- Coordinate with team members to contribute to execution of analysis of studies, analyze results, and prepare and present study findings.
- Collaborate with agile simulation software development teams to build and enhance modeling, simulation, analysis solutions and determine how to integrate approaches into various USAF platforms for wargaming and simulation.
- Ensure application of modeling, simulation, and analysis best practices for all analysis efforts.

Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development or related field including activities such as Model Verification and Validation (V&V), development of model support documentation to include user manuals and architecture documents, and model library management.
- Have knowledge of and demonstrated ability in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles, Systems Modeling (SYSML) and tools as applied within a systems approach to analysis, problem-solving, and solution design and implementation.
- Strong software development skills and the ability to apply them to develop technical solutions to unique operational USAF problems. Have knowledge of and demonstrated ability in common programming languages such as MATLAB, Java, C++, python and other similar languages.
- Ability to analyze alternatives and apply judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Understanding of Air Force Medical Service operating and training systems is recommended, but not required. Knowledge of field medical treatment and/or en route care via aeromedical patient transport is highly desired.
