The Space Vehicles Directorate, Program Control Branch (AFRL/RVFC) seeks to hire a mid-level, motivated, DO-1101-03 Supervisory Acquisition Program Manager in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As the Deputy Branch Chief, this pivotal role is integral to the success of our mission and involves supporting the Branch Chief in leading strategic initiatives, optimizing program management methodologies, and driving organizational excellence. Position duties include, but are not limited to:
• Support the consistent and effective application of program management concepts and methodologies.
• Independently analyze and resolve complex issues that impact program success, using advanced problem-solving techniques.
• Recommend and implement decisions that significantly affect agency policies or programs.
• Facilitate clear communication within the branch and with key stakeholders.
• Act as a liaison between the branch, higher management, and other agencies to foster collaboration and consensus.

Required Qualifications

• Required to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance
• This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
• Employee performs other related duties as assigned
• Ability to achieve/maintain DoD PM Certification and APDP Certification levels relevant to the position.
• At least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade DO-II/GS-13 or equivalent in other pay systems. A minimum of three (6) years of experience in federal acquisition, program/project management, highly valued. Examples of specialized experience: served as a program manager providing a full range of development, coordination, and execution of an acquisition strategy, coordinating the contractual, financial, and technical tasks to accomplish deliverables, deadlines, & goals, and applying program management regulations, policies, and procedures. Examples of other relevant experience: served as a program analyst, scientist/engineer, financial specialist, and/or contracting specialist in supporting the identification, definition, development, & documentation of cost (budget/execution), schedule, & performance requirements for programs, portfolios, and/or projects.

Desired Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a related field is highly valued. A Master's degree in business is ideal
• APDP Program Manager, and/or PMP certification
• Already possesses TS/SCI clearance
