Supervisory Acquisition Program Management Specialist (NH-1101-04) various positions, WPAFB, OH.
This announcement is to fill several NH-1101-04 (GS-14 equivalent) positions at Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) and is a lateral opportunity. Promotion candidates will not be considered as part of this announcement. Vacancies are mid-level but can be considered up to senior level based on experience and qualifications.
Duties for these positions vary but typically include:
- Leads, manages, directs or is responsible for activities either directly, or in support of Department of Defense-funded acquisition efforts.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- Delivers presentations on program status, accomplishments, problems/analysis/solutions, requirements for support and promotion of program objectives to senior military officers and civilians in other program offices, or the command.
- Represents the program office at higher levels within the organization and contractor organizations.
- Works in conjunction with the contracting officer to approve terms and conditions set forth in contract negotiations, contracting plans, budgets, and changes to the scope of work to be done by the contractor.

Required Qualifications
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade DR/DO-02/GS-13 for NH-04, DR/DO-01/GS-11 for NH-03, or DR/DO-01/GS-11 for NH-02 (or equivalent in other pay systems).
- Strong leadership and integrity
- Experience leading teams and successfully delivering capability on complex acquisition programs
- Incumbent required to maintain appropriate security clearance
- Positions are not eligible for remote work or 100% telework
- This is an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program. The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
- Must have Advanced Certification in Program Management, or the ability to earn Advanced Certification within 48 months of appointment to the position.
Desired Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is desired.
- PMT 4010 Completion.
- Experienced in multiple Adaptive Acquisition Framework Pathways.
Additional Information
- Occasional travel. You may be expected to travel for this position, and travel requirements may vary by position.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP).
- The incumbent of this position may be required to submit an initial and annual OGE 450 (Financial Disclosure) in accordance with Joint Ethics Regulation.
- Positions may be subject to random drug testing.
While PCS entitlement may be funded by AFPC for positions at the NH-04 level, at present AFLCMC organizations are not offering PCS.
