The AFRL Integrated Capabilities Directorate (AFRL/RS) seeks an experienced leader with cross-functional experience to fill the role of Business Operations Team Lead within the Integrations & Operations Division (AFRL/RSI).
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Serves as business operations team lead in the Integrated Capabilities Directorate Integration & Operations Division (AFRL/RSI).
- Develops, improves, and implements business processes, policies, practices, systems, tools, and training across RS compliance areas to include, but not limited to Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO), Freedom of Information Action (FOIA), Defense Travel System (DTS), Government Purchase Card (GPC), Safety, Equipment Accountability, Records Management, and workflow.
- Collects data required to support current and future directorate business plans and in response to requirements imposed by regulation and higher headquarters.
- Assists in developing and implementing procedures, operating instructions and processes designed to maximize staff effectiveness, automating and streamlining procedures to serve the best interests of RS.
- Disseminates instructions on new or revised administrative policies and procedures; follows up to assure compliance and consistent application.
- Prepares documentation for Inspector General (IG) and RS senior leaders on status of RS Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) results, discrepancies, and deficiencies and works with management to isolate and correct complex problems which hinder RS compliance.
- Coordinates with Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) Contracting Officer Representative (COR) on business operations tasks and provides performance feedback.
- Leads RS crisis action team, ensuring coverage available at all times and disseminating critical information to RS leadership.
- Integrates business operations requirements across the directorate to reduce redundancy.
- Leads team that serves as central focal point for directorate responses to higher HQ taskers.
- Synchronizes with Chief of Strategy to ensure consistent messaging in RS taskers and events and oversees logistical planning for high visibility directorate events, such as Strategic Interchange Meeting (SIM) and Wright Dialogue with Industry (WDI).

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade DO-01/GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
- Incumbent is required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
