Job Overview

The Digital Capabilities Directorate seeks to fill a mid-level, DO-03 (GS-13/14 equivalent) to serve as Lead of the Operations Support Team for the Integration and Operations Division (AFRL/IZO).  This position leads/manages government and contractor workforce in the areas of security, safety, building/facility management, personnel management, workforce development, equipment/supplies, and compliance/inspections. Develops and oversees processes and policies as needed for all aspects of operations support. Ensures compliance with external policies. Supports re-engineering of operations support processes across the directorate to improve efficiency and speed. Monitors, manages and improve the efficiency of communication within the service. The Digital Capabilities Directorate is located in HQ AFRL at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

  • Develops and implements acquisition strategies to meet IZO goals and objectives. Directs contractor selection activities and oversees purchasing and contract execution

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizenship ​​​​​​

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

  • Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (DO-02/GS-13) or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience include:

    • Experience in effectively working with teams and influencing key stakeholders 

    • Proven experience in operations, facility management, workforce development, or a similar role

    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for senior leader audiences
