Performs financial analyst and financial execution work involving the monitoring of obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of a budget (at the program cost center level and below) with different sources and types of funding such as direct annual Research & Development, and Operations and Maintenance funds, Congressionally added funds and funds received from other agencies such as the MDA, DARPA and NASA. Performs assigned budget execution tasks to meet the needs of organization (s) at the program or lower level.
Monitors the use and rate of expenditues of budgeted funds through continuing dialogue with division program managers and their financial support staff, review of commitment/obligation documents, and examination of accounting records. Ensures that all funds used comply with time, purpose and amount guidance. Researches appropriate legal and regulatory guidance and policy to include GAO, DoD, AF, AFCM, AFRL and RD guidance.

Use of Financial systems may include but are not limited to CRIS, CCaRs, JOCAS, ATAAPs, DCPS, DTIMS, MOCAS, BQ, FMSuites, WAWF, SDW, DTS, US Bank, OLRV, and EDA.
