The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Exploitation Branch (AFRL/RIGC) is seeking to hire a mid to senior level, motivated and experienced engineer, or scientist to serve as the Deputy Program Manager for the ELINT (Electronic Intelligence) portfolio within the branch.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
Conduct research and development activities, to include both internally and externally funded efforts, for the research, development, prototyping, testing, and transition of ELINT technologies.
Conduct program management activities, to include preparation and oversight of contractual efforts, in support of overall program goals.
Support engineering efforts and test events for system integration, verification, and validation activities to ensure technologies meet Air Force and other customer requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, DoD and other government agencies to support development of next generation systems.
Communicate program status to both internal to AFRL and external stakeholders as required.
Prepare test plans, document test results, develop technical reports and briefings, and evaluate technical proposals as required.

Required Qualifications
US Citizenship.
Candidates must possess a professional science or engineering (S&E) degree from an accredited academic institution.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in technology development activities and project management.
TDY is a requirement for this position.
To qualify for the DR-II level, candidates must possess one-year specialized experience equal to the DR-I or equivalent in other pay systems. To qualify for the DR-III level, candidates must possess one year of specialized experience equal to the DR-II or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position that was performed at a level equivalent to the grade directly below the position.
This position is an Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) position requiring level 2-Practitioner, Non-Critical certification in Engineering & Technical Management (N). The selectee will have 48-months to meet APDP requirements or a waiver must be obtained.

Desired Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience managing complex programs and/or projects.
Experience in an RF engineering related discipline and with digital signal processing.
Demonstrable skills in oral and written communication.
