Do you have a novel idea for a digital capability but aren’t sure how to execute it? Do you have skills you want to “level up” or bring to the table, but don’t currently have a path to execute? Hangar 18 is ready to “beam you up”! We are a new software factory tackling complex digital problems by rapidly aligning the right talent and tools. We are currently seeking S&T explorers to join us on our mission to accelerate Digital Engineering and Transformation!

At its core, Hangar 18 develops and deploys software and data. Developers are the backbone of our capacity to deliver new capabilities. A senior-level software engineer will be primarily responsible for developing or implementing source code for use in a variety of client- and server-based environments. Secondary duties involve designing and discovering new technology solutions, while interacting with the primary design and discovery functions to arrive at an agreed upon development strategy. Additional responsibilities include providing guidance and input to junior-level developers, and assisting the lead developer with implementation and configuration activities. A senior-level developer should be an independent and self-starting contributor, able to work for extended periods (a week or longer) without regular guidance from other functions. A senior-level developer should also understand and work efficiently within a formal Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
