The Mission Execution Lead serves as the senior program management authority for the Directorate, responsible for guiding, integrating, and executing a diverse portfolio of multi‑divisional projects and strategic initiatives. This position provides enterprise‑level oversight of cost, schedule, performance, risk, and transition planning while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and mission objectives. The incumbent leads matrixed project teams, partners across functional communities, and drives standardized, high‑quality program execution to deliver impactful capabilities to customers and stakeholders.

Major Duties:
- Provide strategic leadership, vision, and direction for the Directorate’s Mission Execution Program Management Office, ensuring cohesive, high‑quality program delivery.
- Lead planning and execution of integrated project portfolios, overseeing cost, schedule, performance, risk management, and transition strategies across multiple divisions.
- Guide and mentor diverse project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Implement standardized enterprise program management processes, tailoring predictive, agile, or hybrid methodologies to meet the needs of each technical division.
- Translate directorate strategy into executable plans by synthesizing inputs from research, acquisition, and operational communities.
- Partner with Integration & Planning, Contracting, and Financial Management to develop executable investment strategies and respond to enterprise budget taskings.
- Align project teams with external stakeholders, customers, and leadership to ensure coordinated planning, execution, and reporting.
- Support the assembly and resourcing of project teams, securing funding, personnel, and infrastructure required for successful mission execution.
- Monitor execution across the portfolio, identifying risks, assessing impacts, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure mission continuity.
- Serve as the Directorate’s senior Program Manager and Organizational Senior Functional (OSF), collaborating with AFRL OSFs and the AFRL CSF on policy, processes, and enterprise products.
- Advocate for future capabilities and identify opportunities to improve organizational structures, processes, and program execution practices.
- Provide oversight and direction to the Program Execution Group (PEG) and champion data‑informed decision-making across the Directorate.
- Provide first-level supervision and personnel management of team to maintain mission readiness.

Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade (DO-03/GS‑14 for DO‑04/GS-15), or equivalent experience in other pay systems.
