Position Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages the integration of AFRL's Air and Space Portfolios into the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and President's Budget (PB), serving as a key advisor to AFRL leadership.

  • Directs the formulation and defense of the POM and PB submissions to include preparing all justification materials for review by the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) and Congress.

  • Oversees the budgeting and enactment phases, working closely with AFRL mission organizations, AFRL Functionals, and higher-level Department of the Air Force (DAF) counterparts.

  • Technical expertise in specific DAF programming and budget systems such as the Program and Budget Enterprise System (PBES).

  • Guides cross-functional teams through the annual POM and PB cycles.

  • Gives expert consultation on complex PPBE issues.

  • Acts as a key liaison to HQ AFMC, the DAF, and OSW for all PPBE-related budget guidance.
