Position Duties include, but are not limited to:
Manages the integration of AFRL's Air and Space Portfolios into the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and President's Budget (PB), serving as a key advisor to AFRL leadership.
Directs the formulation and defense of the POM and PB submissions to include preparing all justification materials for review by the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) and Congress.
Oversees the budgeting and enactment phases, working closely with AFRL mission organizations, AFRL Functionals, and higher-level Department of the Air Force (DAF) counterparts.
Technical expertise in specific DAF programming and budget systems such as the Program and Budget Enterprise System (PBES).
Guides cross-functional teams through the annual POM and PB cycles.
Gives expert consultation on complex PPBE issues.
Acts as a key liaison to HQ AFMC, the DAF, and OSW for all PPBE-related budget guidance.

Engineer (0801): To meet eligibility of an Engineer, applicants must meet the following basic requirements. Degree in Engineering. The program must have been ABET accredited. Computer Scientist (1550): To meet eligibility of a Computer Scientist, applicants must meet the following basic requirements. Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions. Operational Research Analyst (1515) : To meet eligibility of an Operational Research Analyst, applicants must meet the following basic requirements. Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lowest grade level or equivalent grade level of the position being advertised.
Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.
