We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team at the AFRL Information Directorate in Rome, NY. As a key member of the Intelligence Systems Division, you will provide administrative support to the Division Chief and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of the division. As division-level suspense monitor, establishes and tracks suspense dates and brings to supervisor's attention those that cannot be met by
requested date or when there is a conflict.
Independently consolidates division suspense responses in final format.
Assists program analysts, program managers and management staff by independently collecting, analyzing and presenting information related to programs/projects; typing and proofreading of correspondence, sorting and distributing daily mail deliveries, maintaining publications and regulations, ensuring sufficient office supplies are on hand/ordered, arranging meetings, and accomplishing other duties required to maintain effective Division office operations. * Performs as receptionist using judgement to answer recurring questions and resolve problems.
Uses multiple office automation software and varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, editing and reformatting electronic drafts.
Independently plans and performs complex office automation duties, such as editing lengthy and complicated reports; collecting, selecting and organizing information; and resolving incompatibility problems in transferring text from one software package to another.

Required Qualifications

- Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance

- Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade, GS-4, or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized Experience is experience directly related to the position that was performed at a level equivalent to the grade directly below the position.
