AFWERX seeks to hire an experienced and knowledgeable mid-level DO-1101-03 Product Manager in the AFWERX Capital Initiatives Division (AFRL/RGI), focusing on AFWERX Connect the Ecosystem technical products.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Create the vision and long term implementation plan for assigned program technology tools.
- Work closely with end customers to identify key requirements and feature sets.
- Develop and execute product roadmaps in coordination with stakeholders across multiple agencies.
- Define product requirements by working with cross-functional teams and ensure that the product aligns with the team’s strategic goals.
- Monitor product performance and use customer feedback and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Manage the product launch process, including coordinating with marketing and communications teams to ensure successful go-to-market strategy.
- Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with industry trends, customer needs, and other governmental offerings.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and vendor teams to ensure that product features are implemented to specification and meet customer needs.
- Communicate the vision, strategy, roadmap, and backlog to different audiences with a tailored message
- Write user stories and manage a continuously updated backlog
- Create an acquisition strategy in conjunction with contracting personnel and advocate for funding to deliver needed capabilities.
Pay Range: $96,864 - $136,885 base salary without locality. The locality will be determined based on the selected candidate's location.

Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Experience gained in non-federal positions will also be reviewed for specialized experience.
- This position has been designated as a Non-Critical Acquisition Position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The incumbent must meet or be capable of achieving acquisition certification within the allowed grace period. Applicants must list all completed APDP certifications on their resume.
Desired Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product management or related field.
- 2+ years experience leading agile software development.
- 2+ years experience leading user experience design.
- Track record of creating clear feature sets and requirements for technology initiatives.
- Track record of delivering products from inception to user-facing launch.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- An expert at breaking down complex products into small, measurable components and have successfully driven an outcome-oriented roadmap to maximize business impact
- Comfortable with ambiguity and acting with incomplete information
- Excel at facilitating meetings and often design and lead workshops
- Able to break down complex problems into small measurable parts, build feature stories, and prioritize the next most important thing at the top of the backlog
