The Plans and Programs Directorate seeks to fill a mid-level, DO-02, Acquisition Program Management Specialist within the Integrated Process Branch (XPOX) at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
Position Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develops complete strategic and tactical resource plans to support acquisition programs assigned to the Command
- Provides technical guidance, advisory support, and assistance on a wide range of management issues
- Interprets Air Force acquisition, logistics, and program management directives
- Serves on and leads Multi-Functional Teams/working groups engaged in developing and recommending acquisition streamlining proposals and implementation plans.
- Provides continuous assessment and evaluation of overall program and individual project goals, objectives, strategies, performance to ensure a sound basis for long-range acquisition program management processes and follow-on system life cycle support planning.
- Reviews financial and non-financial program data to determine if projections are accurate and overall system performance is being achieved as projected
- Represents the organization and higher management echelons to contractor/industry representatives and provides status information on assigned projects/programs, as required, in higher level meetings with senior government officials, both within and outside the DoD
- Prepares, presents, defends, and interprets staff studies to the Program Director and/or other management officials

Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lowest grade level or equivalent of the position being advertised
- Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance
- You may be expected to travel for this position
- Males must be registered for Selective Service, see www.sss.gov

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Previous experience with acquisition applications such as Strategic Management Tool (SMT), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) and Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS)
