Hangar 18 is ready to “beam you up”! We are a new software factory tackling complex digital problems by rapidly aligning the right talent and tools. We are currently seeking S&T explorers to join us on our mission to accelerate Digital Engineering and Transformation!
Duties:
At its core, Hangar 18 develops and deploys software and data. Developers are the backbone of our capacity to deliver new capabilities. A junior-level software engineer will be primarily responsible for developing or implementing source code for use in a variety of client- and server-based environments. Secondary duties involve designing and discovering new technology solutions, while interacting with the primary design and discovery functions to arrive at an agreed upon development strategy. Additional responsibilities include pair programming with other junior-level developers, working on a regular cadence with senior developers to create new work packages (software features and user stories), and assisting the lead developer with implementation and configuration activities. A junior-level developer should be an independent and self-starting contributor. A junior-level developer should also be prepared to work efficiently within a formal Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) based on Agile practices.
