The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW), Management Operations (OM) Security (OMS), Information Protection (OMSI), seeks to hire a mid-level, DO-02, Security Specialist at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Implements/administers the Information Security Program for the 711th Human Performance Wing.
- Provides guidance and oversees classification, marking, storage and declassification of classified information, and protection of Controlled Unclassified Information.
- Interprets, formulates and implements regulatory guidance for classification management and safeguarding requirements.
- Administers the Operations Security Program (OPSEC).
- Conducts OPSEC Signature Manager duties for the 711 HPW.
- Works with 711 HPW mission owners to identify and protect critical information, conducts security/OPSEC reviews of documents submitted for public release, and ensures compliance with OPSEC and Foreign Disclosure requirements for short and long term foreign assignments and visits.
- Assists the Scientific and Technology (S&T) Protection Lead with the development of security countermeasures for identified Critical Technology Elements (CTE).
- Administers the 711 HPW Security Training Program. Develops initial and periodic security training for 711 HPW personnel, provides training through electronic means or in-person briefings, and tracks training completion.
- Performs Personnel and Industrial Security duties as needed, to support execution of all Information Protection programs.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET, Special Sensitive security clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC)
- Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade, GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience must include experience providing human resources management program guidance in areas such as effective recruitment and conducting human resource management studies on organizational analysis.
