Position duties include, but are not limited to the below functions for technology demonstrator system builds.  AFRL is currently in a digital transformation where Model Based System Engineering and Digital Engineering processes are increasing used at all levels.  Duties of this position will include all aspects of systems engineering and rich coordination with an in-house Test Lead; examples:

  • configuration control
  • requirements management and allocation
  • interface control for both hardware and complex networks
  • technology readiness and manufacturing readiness level assessments
  • cyber security compliance
  • assist with formal test planning/scheduling to include MRTBF interface and all associated processes
  • SWaP limitation compliance
  • reliability predictions, environmental compatibility assessment
  • intellectual property management:
  • Limited relocation allowances may be available and considered by the organization

Required Qualifications

  • United States Citizenship
  • Top Secret clearance eligibility, SCI eligibility

Desired Qualifications

  • Multiple years of experience in systems engineering related duties;
  •  an advanced technical degree (Master’s or Ph.D.);
  • experience in working projects that fall into the RDT&E Budget Activities of 6.3, 6.4, or 6.5;
  • experience working with a Major Range Test Facility Base (MRTFB); and
  • experience on multi-year efforts that take a complex technology demonstrator system to an outdoor testing program.
