The Financial Management Division located in the Aerospace Systems Directorate (AFRL/RQF) currently has a DO-0501-02, Supervisory Section Chief Financial Specialist position available in the Science and Technology Funds Branch (RQFS) supporting the Rocket Propulsion and High Speed Systems Finance Section (RQFSP).
- The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a supervisory section chief performing a variety of tasks in support of budget, cost analysis, and financial analysis studies and projects to develop analytical, judgment, procedural and technical skills across a geographically diverse section.
- Overseas and is responsible for the work of government team members. Ensures equitable distribution of team members' workload, ensures team meets suspenses, performs necessary technical tasks, collaboratively partners with key stakeholders, provides training and mentoring to team members, and refers sensitive/emerging issues to next level supervisor.
- Workload includes but is not limited to, performing a variety of tasks to support budget formulation, tasks involving budget execution, tasks in support of cost analyses, using automated financial management databases and systems and their products, and carrying out special assignments designed to facilitate the full use of and enhance the team’s training and development.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance
- Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the DO-01 (GS-11 or equivalent) grade level or above.
- This is an Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) position requiring Level/Tier 2 (Practitioner) Non-Critical certification in Financial Management (K). This position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
