The Simulation and Analysis Branch, RVES seeks to hire a senior-level, DR-03 Supervisory Principal General Engineer in Albuquerque, NM.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Defines and manages overarching strategy for mission development, resource allocation, planning, and staffing across multiple concurrent satellite programs.
- Trains Ops Cadre team personnel on operations readiness and on-orbit operations; assesses team members to ensure readiness to fulfill their duties as Operations Leads and Flight Directors.
- Advises and trains the AFRL/RV Mission Director and additionally trains senior leadership and stakeholders on satellite operations.
- In coordination with flight experiment program managers develops technical plans, concepts of operations, procedures, and execution strategies for all aspects of experimental satellite flights.
- Works with members of flight program teams, ground and planning tool developers, crew members and others to coordinate operations readiness and execution activities.
- Establishes and leads battle rhythm for space experiments, including monthly, weekly, and daily planning meetings.
- Leads the development of training programs for on-console flight personnel and documents lessons-learned and contributes to experiment final reports.
- In some situations, may serve as Flight Director, holding responsibility for mission crews and on-orbit satellite commanding.

Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Must possess a professional science or engineering (S&E) degree from an accredited academic institution
- Currently possess, or have the ability to get and maintain, a TS/SCI clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in one or more areas of spacecraft or space launch operations (military or civilian), spacecraft systems engineering, or spacecraft assembly, integration, and test activities.
- Demonstrated effective communications, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience teaming with Dept. of Air Force civilian and military personnel, other DoD services, support contractors, and industry Subject Matter Experts.
- Experience developing training materials and training personnel to a new subject matter area.
