AFRL, RVF seeks to hire a senior-level, DR-1515-III Senior Operations Research Analyst in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Analyst will assist in supporting Planning and Programming. Candidates who apply to this announcement may be considered for future vacancies at this series/grade.
 
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Supports RVF Planning and Programming Team and engages in activities at the SAF, AFRL, and RV levels to ensure adequate resources are inserted into USAF/USSF planning and programming processes.
  • Ensures directorate compliance with fiscal laws, regulations, and policies that govern the propriety of appropriated funds.
  • Conducts and/or leads analytical activities to address identified problems, discern trends and
  • otherwise address current or emerging problems.
  • Develops innovative business management approaches and solutions that assist research and/or scientific teams foster an environment of technology exploitation.
  • Cultivates and sustains a professional atmosphere of cooperation, cohesion and teamwork.
  • Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. Required Qualifications

  • United States Citizenship
  • TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
  • Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
  • At least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade DO-02 (DR-02)/GS-13 or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience: Serve as the expert financial specialist in providing a full range of planning and programming functions including budget formulation, budget execution, financial analysis, financial governance, financial policy, and program control.
  • Ability to achieve/maintain DoD FM Certification and APDP Certification levels relevant to the position.
