The Intelligence Systems Division of the Air Force Research Laboratory/Information Directorate (AFRL/RI) seeks to hire a highly skilled Mid-level Engineer with DoD and/or Intelligence Community (IC) experience relating to Information Technology, Software Development with a diverse team on C2 applications. The Mid-level Engineer provides technology management for current and future software architecture, design, development, test, and execution; engineering support of mission sites integrating solutions into a enterprise; and communication and defense of the approach for the development, enhancement, test, deployment and support of C2 Applications delivery to the warfighter; and related technologies to meet the needs of the Air Force, DoD, IC, Government Agencies and FVEYs partners.

Position Duties include but are not limited to:
- Solve problems across DoD and Industry to drive innovation in meeting an agile C4I Architecture
- Lead teams to develop, create and integrate rapid succession of technology
- Support leading systems engineering teams to develop C4I architectures and System of Systems (SoS)/Family of Systems (FoS) engineering solutions to meet warfighter needs
- Lead the design and integration of software-intensive Tactical Command and Control (C2) systems and combat systems
- Drive direction and ability to open communicate with the customer to garner requirements for cost, schedule, performance
- Lead teams that can assess, scan, harden and lockdown infrastructure and service in an agile methodology
- Provide Program Manager capabilities of managing Cost, Schedule and Performance
- Provide Experience and Ability to award new contracts for the government
Position Description:
Requires an experienced PM/COR in C4I/C2 technology delivery to the warfighter. The candidate will work with a high volume customer base focused on delivering COTS/GOTS products to the war fighter. The team is fluid and fast moving trained in agile DevSecOps methodologies . You will be working directly with the customer analyzing an understanding their requirements. Your skill set should be able to rapidly look at COTS/GOTS solutions and quickly integrate them into working delivery to the customer.
Required Qualifications
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
- 52 weeks of specialized experience aligned with the next lower grade level
- Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited academic institution
- Travel is a requirement
- This is an APDP position requiring Practitioner Level certification within Engineering & Technology Management (ETM) within two years.

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with security technologies and Risk Management Framework processes
- Experience working with end users, system administrators and technology managers to fully understand mission needs
- Experience resolving technology, process, policy and communications issues
- Experience teaming with Air Force civilian and military personnel, other DoD services, support contractors, and industry Subject Matter Experts
- Strong communications and negotiation skills
- Experience and an understanding of networking, computer architectures, server environments, storage
- Ability to coordinate with SSOs, Trusted Agents, SASMs
- Experience with Government Acquisition process and ability to award new contracts for the government
- Experience with Form DD254 and processes for obtaining clearances, CACs and Foreign Travel for contractors
- Experience and insight into Cyber security and active current engagement with EMASS, XACTA, NIST RMF, IATTs, ATO's, Patching, SIA, CtF.
- Experience with Agile framework to manage a team that can Test scan assess harden and lockdown infrastructure and services.
- Experience in leading teams
- Experience working with or within the Department of Defense research community
- Master's Degree is desired
- Cultivates and sustains a professional environment of cooperation, cohesion and teamwork
- Experience with developing and maintaining close relationships with academia and other Government agencies for Basic Research
- Experience and Ability to work with contracting to add contract modifications to an existing contract
