Job Overview

AFRL/RQI seeks to hire a DU-0303-03, Administrative Assistant, at Edwards AFB, CA.  This job announcement will be accepting candidate submissions through 13 February 2023.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Serves as the AFRL-Edwards site’s lead administrative assistant
  • Oversees all clerical and administrative work for Detachment 7, the Rocket Propulsion Division (RQR) and the Site Support Division (RQI)
  • Ensures all site administrative assistants and secretaries are trained for their positions
  • Responsible for front office records management and filing, correspondence review and routing, and front office leader calendar management
  • Manages task work flow for RQI and Detachment 7
  • Responsible for use and maintenance front office government purchase cards (GPC), including proper accounting and documentation
  • Conducts/oversees timekeeping and attendance function for RQI and Det 7

Required Qualifications

  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required Secret security clearance
  • Must have at least one year’s experience at the DU-02 (GS-06/07 or equivalent) level
  • Must be proficient using common office software (e.g. Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, Powerpoint)
  • COVID-19 VACCINE: To ensure compliance with an applicable preliminary nationwide injunction, which may be supplemented, modified, or vacated, depending on the course of ongoing litigation, the Federal Government will take no action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement pursuant to Executive Order 14043 on Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees. Federal agencies may request information regarding the vaccination status of selected applicants for the purposes of implementing other workplace safety protocols, such as protocols related to masking, physical distancing, testing, travel, and quarantine.
