We are seeking a skilled and visionary supervisory hardware and software computing leader to join our innovative team, driving enterprise-level data connectivity projects from inception to deployment.

      Position Duties include, but are not limited to:

      • Responsible for overseeing and directing activities for complex computer-based technologies which provide world-class high performance computing (HPC) resources to a DoD-wide community of scientists and engineers engaged in specialized RDT&E technology areas

      • Manages sophisticated high-performance computational software

      • Responsible for providing technology planning and integration, computational software applications and system sustainment for a suite of supercomputers: mass storage; high-speed, high-bandwidth networking; classified computation; and data analysis

      • Directs activities providing application support in such areas as computational fluid dynamics, structural mechanics, signal image processing, integrated modeling and test, and computational electromagnetics to crucial world-class environments

      • Computer Engineer (0854): To meet the eligibility of a Computer Engineer, applicants must meet the following basic requirements. Degree in Engineering.       • Computer Scientist (1550): To meet eligibility of a Computer Scientist, applicants must meet the following basic requirements. Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.       • Information Technology (IT) Specialist (2210): To meet the eligibility of an IT Specialist, applicants must meet the following basic requirements. Experience that demonstrated accomplishment of computer project assignments that required a wide range of knowledge of computer requirements and techniques pertinent to the position to be filled. This knowledge is generally demonstrated by assignments where the applicant analyzed several alternative approaches in the process of advising management concerning major aspects of IT system design, such as what system interrelationships must be considered, or what operating mode, system software, and/or equipment configuration is most appropriate for a given project.       • Must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lowest grade level or equivalent grade level of the position being advertised

  • Desired Qualifications:
      • Demonstrate IT-related proficiency in areas such as managing enterprise hardware/software, leading IT projects, developing IT policies, or overseeing network/systems architecture
      • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and mentor personnel, assign work, evaluate performance, and align team efforts with organizational objectives
      • May require specific DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance (IA) certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CISM) depending on the cybersecurity requirements of the branch
