      Position duties include, but are not limited to:

      • Researches, develops, and implements hardware and software solutions, and conducts system planning to increase productivity and security of the local DREN network and attached enclave systems. 
      • Provides technical guidance to coworkers and customers. 
      • Develops and implements standards and policies for network, server, and desktop computer systems and software. 
      • Supports Network Operations Lead in implementing and tracking IAVMs, ACAS scanning and reporting, HBSS, automated client patching and vulnerability management in a production environment. 
      • Uses SQL 2019, Windows Server 2019, and Virtualization though VMWare, Server Certificates, Windows WDS & WSUS services,enterprise cybersecurity tools and Network Engineering. 
      • Employs principles of sound customer service to meet needs of internal and external customers.

  • Required Qualifications:
      • United States Citizenship
      • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
      • Must have one year of experience at the DR-01 (or equivalent) grade level
      • Possess a bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science.  At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.  All academic degrees and course work must be from an accredited or pre-accredited institution. 
         
  • Desired Qualifications:
      • Experience with SQL Server and scripting languages
      • Advanced degree in Computer Sciences
      • Ability to manage workload across competing priorities and work efficiently towards timely task completion

       

  • Additional Information:
      • This is an APDP position requiring Level II Critical certification in Information Technology (R).
