The 711 Human Performance Wing Security Division seeks to hire a mid-level, DO-02 Non-Supervisory Antiterorism/Force Protection Officer at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.
Embark on a mission-critical role where your expertise directly safeguards the innovators of the 711 HPW! We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Security Specialist to lead and administer our Antiterrorism and Force Protection (AT/FP) program.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
Implements and administers the AT/FP program for the 711 HPW, developing critical AT/FP policies and establishing Force Protection measures for all conditions.
Serves as the Wing Antiterrorism Representative, demonstrating adaptability and drive by planning random AT measures and executing rapid Force Protection actions based on real-time, evolving threats.
Manages the unique physical security needs of the off-installation C-STARS mission, exhibiting strong team-ability by collaborating with hospital security to maximize the protection footprint of wing personnel.
Ensures compliance with Homeland Security physical security mandates and acts as the Wing's Mission Assurance representative, implementing access control and badging policies for Protection Level 4 and Controlled Areas.
Applies effective intelligence and problem-solving skills to provide expert input to Civil Engineers and the Army Corps of Engineers during the design and construction of secure rooms, ultimately preparing and submitting secure room certifications to approval authorities.
Delivers authoritative physical security expertise and performs other Information Security duties as required to ensure all classified and controlled unclassified information in the facility remains properly safeguarded.

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special-Sensitive (Tier 5) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP).
This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain the Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) in accordance with AFI 36-2645.
Experience: One year of specialized experience at the DO-I or GS-11 equivalent level demonstrating practical knowledge of Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) programs, physical security, and access control policies.
Travel: Travel may be required.

Proven ability to analyze complex physical security requirements and provide actionable inputs to Civil Engineers and the Army Corps of Engineers during the design and construction of secure rooms.
Ability to rapidly plan, schedule, and implement Force Protection (FP) condition actions and random AT measures based on evolving, real-time threat assessments.
Strong interpersonal skills with experience coordinating seamlessly with external entities, such as hospital security for off-installation missions (e.g., C-STARS), to maximize protection footprints.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare and submit secure room certifications and to provide authoritative physical security expertise to Wing leadership.
