      The AFRL Munitions Directorate, Integration & Operations Division, Security Branch (AFRL/RWOS) seeks to hire a DO-0080-02, Risk Analyst (Security Specialist) at Eglin, AFB in Valparaiso, Florida.  The ideal candidate will have experience in Air Force security programs, knowledge of a range of intelligence research and collection methods, experience in conducting unbiased complex research, and identifying appropriate available systems/data sources. In addition, they will have experience of developing presentations, reports, and/or making recommendations based on their findings within the organization and management.

      Position duties include, but are not limited to:

      • Serves as a Risk Analyst and will be an expert in identifying and assessing potential risks to the Munitions Directorate portfolio.
      • The analyst will perform in-depth research using classified and open source databases to profile known and unknown risks to key Munition Directorate technology development efforts.
      • Develops risk processes with all-source research and analysis tools; conducts targeted analysis of known risk personalities, groups and networks, as well as those with incomplete information.
      • Develops and staffs risk management memorandums for leadership for decision-making purposes.
      • Researches, collects, and organizes statistical and threat data information.
      • Works with functional leads to assist in developing and implementing countermeasures for the protection of the Munitions Directorate portfolio from espionage, terrorism, and other identified threats.
      • Develops metrics to provide to leadership based on risk identification for collaboration efforts.
      • Provides and develops threat awareness training and education to the Munitions Directorate.

  • Required Qualifications:
      • The position is designated Special Sensitive, incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
      • This position will require the following certifications, IAW with AFI 36-2645: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) 
      • This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing
      • Travel and/or performance of additional duties may be required
      • Must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade: DR/DO-01, GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems
  • Desired Qualifications:
      • Knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research and collection methods, techniques, and practices; and multi-source intelligence information systems
      • Skills for conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks
